Movers USA did a great job moving me across the bridge to the eastern shore. They were on time, professional, and courteous. They really knew what they were doing and hustled, but not so much that they were reckless. They even finished an hour earlier than estimated time. Can my possessions be stored temporarily?
If you are unable to take immediate possession of your new residence, your belongings can be stored in a our warehouse. Weather you need to be stored for a couple of days or for a longer time Movers USA will be happy to provide you with safe and clean facilities.
Do you move cars
A moving company and a car carrier may work hand in hand but are different services. Movers USA will be happy to recommend a car carrier upon request.
Can I move my pet?
Pets cannot be carried on the moving van. Dogs, cats, canaries and parakeets can usually be transported in the family car. If this isn’t convenient, Movers USA will be glad to suggest alternate ways to ship your pets safely.
Can I pack my china, glass and crystal?
Most people prefer to have their household possessions, especially fragile items, professionally packed by a moving company. However, if you decide to pack these items yourself, remember that the basic principles of good packing include wrapping the items individually, providing plenty of cushioning and making sure of a firm pack.
How long does it take to move?
Because the furnishings of the average household will not fill a van, it is often necessary for two or more shipments to be loaded on the same Truck. Each shipment is carefully sectioned off from the others. This depends on many factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, size of your shipment, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment is traveling.
When is it best to schedule a move?
It is important to remember that moving is a seasonal business with peak months being May-September. If you are planning a move during these months, we recommend making your reservation 4-6 weeks in advance. Also, the last and first few days of the month are especially busy, so please plan accordingly.
Why do movers put more than one household shipment on a trailer in a long distance move?
We do this for efficiency and to keep the costs down. We do have direct shipments available, but most customers choose to have their moves completed in a standard way so that it will be more affordable.
What is full packing?
The mover will enter your residence and pack everything for you. It is recommended that you retain any valuables, such as, medicines, legal papers, etc.
What is valuation protection?
Valuation protection is the maximum protection a moving company will be liable for if an item is damaged during transit. $.60/lb per item for long distance moves and $.30/lb per item for local moves.
Do you offer hoisted services?
If you know that you have an item that will need to be hoisted, you will have to contact a hoisting specialist, as we do not provide such a service. We recommend you make such arrangements for a time when it will not interfere with the rest of the move.
What are additional services?
Any service that is provided in addition to the line haul is typically an additional service. These can include crating, packing, unpacking, appliance services, special handling, stairs, long carries or shuttle service if access to your residence is limited. Your moving consultant can fully explain the range of services and charges.
Can I move jewelry and other valuables?
Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, photographs, antiques and stamp collections can be included in your shipment, provided you notify Movers USA of these items before packing or moving day. However, we strongly recommend that you carry irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make other arrangements for their transport.
Can I leave cloth in chest or dresser drawers?
Lightweight clothing – sweaters, shirts, blouses, and lingerie – may be left in the drawers. Do not fill drawers with heavy items such as books, table linens or sheets, which can damage the piece of furniture during transit. Be careful NOT to leave fragile items, money, jewelry, watches or other valuables in the drawers, as well as anything that might spill or leak. For more Also all liquids like perfume bottle should be removed. Cloth left in dressers may have to be refolded at destination and may shift.

What is a tariff?
This is the list of rules, regulations, available services and resulting charges used by all motor carriers which provide interstate transportation of household goods. The tariffs are published by each household goods motor carrier and include its various services. The tariffs are available for your inspection upon request.
What is a binding estimate?
A binding estimate or binding cost of service specifies in advance the precise cost of the move based on the services requested or deemed necessary at the time of the estimate. If additional services are requested or required at either origin or destination , the total cost will increase. Binding estimates are valid for the time period specified, up to 60 days.
Where are you located?
Movers USA is located in Baltimore, Maryland. Our large fleet of state-of-the-art trucks and equipment means we can provide long distance moves to 48 states and local moves to most metropolitan areas.
What is partial packing?
Partial packing is the packing, wrapping or crating of glass tops, TV sets, pictures, mirrors, glass items, lamps, china cabinets, and all upholstered furniture.
Do you charge for packing materials?
Any materials that are requested or used by your moving team (boxes, packing paper, tape, etc) will be charged additionally.
Does my home owners policy cover my moving expenses?
Most home owner policies do not provide moving coverage. Contact your company to see if they can provide you with coverage for a special premium.
Is it possible for you to move plants?
It is against the law to transport plants across state lines. Federal Regulations allow a mover to transport plants if the trip is fewer than 15 miles. However, we cannot guarantee their safety. In general, we recommend that you make arrangements to transport your plants.
